here are a few
rants from my third website, mostly about cyber
space problems. others are just new :) i hope you
won't get lost with all the content :) rant#3
: gb surfers
what annoys me when you've got a guestbook, is
that there are these 'guestbook surfers' who
either leave short messages in your gbook saying,
'hi! nice site! visit mine! sign the guestbook!'
or just shove off their 1000x6000-sized banners
in your book. it seems like they just made a
homepage out of it >:( yeah, and
what's so nice about the site? the guestbook?
hah! these surfers just take all your hard work
for granted. if you're new in the world of
website making - just a warning : if ever you see
a guestbook entry of 3 sentences which is similar
to the phrase, 'hey, cool site! visit mine ...
and sign the guestbook when you have the time ...
!' ... delete it. and don't even bother to sign
theirs after what abuse they've done to yours. it
just wastes up your guestbook space.
rant #4 : racism
it's a wonder why most of us asians find it hard
to find friends. usually in school, there are a
lot of snobs or in short, racists, who look down
on other people just 'coz we sometimes may have a
better tan (?) or teensy-weensy eyes. why is
there such a thing as racism? c'mon, these people
haven't done anything to these racists - why
disgust us? we are, after all, equal in God's
eyes; we are all human beings - of the same
species ... azn pryde is starting to become a
sort of racism. though i am asian, i can't go
there saying i'm an asian representing azn pryde.
and so what if i'm asian? the only thing i know
that they don't is tagalog. di ba? it can
probably make matters worse, if we go out
bragging that we're better than any other 'white'
person, tsk.tsk.tsk. why can't we just leave
racism out of our vocabulary and go on with our
daily lives? even if these racists critisize us
for all they care, don't mind them 'coz thez can
all end up looking like silly jerks.
rant #5 : friendship
friendship - it's a
word too difficult to define - especially in this
weird world we're living in. sometimes i just
wonder if this specific word applies to my life
or my friends. well, before anything else, i'd
just like to explain my situation. i originally
came from asia, now living in europe. my
'friends' haven't been communicating much with me
for about a year. i try to write them once a
month, but i usually don't get a reply. and to
think that they were my childhood buddies. their
only reason is that they're too busy.but we can't
always be too busy, right? there
can be a time for anything. but,
no, they don't set some time to write. maybe
they're even too lazy to do so. just thinking of
the situation tears up my heart. the only friends
who keep the friendship alive are my high school
pals, who i've just known for a year,
and my brother over there, of course :) sometimes
i just wonder if they're still considered friends
- seems like they're just people who i know ...
everyday, friendship is being given a more
complicated definition. when will it all clear
up?
« back
to the old rants ... going up?
